The square in this rug is one that is characteristic of Zapotec arts and craft. According to the natives, the symmetric diamond represents the four energy types of the body, and the middle is the eye of God.  The shape also reflects a pyramid, which means that the reality we see is a mirror, that reflects our inner life.

The rug is handmade, woven on a loom and it takes about 2 weeks from start to finish.
It is thin and double-sided. For extra protection and grip, an additional rug pad may be used underneath.
